Flyer Guidelines
-
Flyers will be shared electronically on the District’s Community Bulletin Board webpage.
-
Flyers may also be considered for sharing by individual school principals at their discretion (e.g., in newsletters, on social media, or as printed copies).
-
Flyers must:
-
Be submitted in PDF format
-
Include sponsoring organization contact information
-
Promote programs, activities, or events appropriate for school-aged students
-
- NOTE: Once materials are posted on the community board, each school principal may choose to share them with their school community. This could include adding them to newsletters, posting on social media, or distributing flyers within the school. However, sharing is not required and will vary based on what each principal feels is most appropriate for their school’s communication needs.
Reasons for Denial
Flyers will be denied if they:
-
Attack or demean any ethnic, racial, or religious group
-
Inhibit the efficient functioning of any school
-
Are libelous
-
Promote or oppose any political party, candidate, or ballot proposition
-
Promote the use of illicit drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or firearms
-
Promote hostility, disorder, or violence
-
Promote or oppose any specific religion
-
Are deemed not in the best interest of students
The Boise School District retains the right to deny flyers at its discretion.
