The Boise School District provides a clear vision for student athlete development of efficacy (beliefs), agency (ownership), and teamwork through participation in sport. We are dedicated to engaging and growing our student athletes in the areas of character, citizenship, collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
Our student athletes will achieve success academically and athletically throughout their experience in the Boise School District because of our focus on effective systems, fostering positive relationships, sportsmanship, culture, and growing the whole student athlete.
The Boise School District commits to being competitive at the highest level through participation, player development, providing first class facilities, hiring high-quality coaches, and the engagement of our parents/patrons.
-
- Student Athletes
Provide our student athletes with a positive experience where they have the opportunity to build and develop skills for success in athletics and life.
- Coaches
Recruit, develop, and retain high caliber coaches whose methods align to our District’s athletic philosophy.
- Athletic Program Development
Build and maintain connectivity and engagement with our elementary, junior high, high school, and community programs.
- Athletic Facilities, Operations, and Finance
Allocate appropriate funding to build and maintain first class facilities and athletic programs.
- Community, Conference, and State Engagement
Partner with local community partners to support the District’s shared athletic vision and the development of our student athletes. On behalf of our student athletic programs, we work collaboratively with our Southern Idaho Conference (SIC) and Idaho High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) partners to further our common goals and mission.
The Boise School District has always been highly regarded for academic achievements. At the same time, we have always been considered a leader throughout Idaho and the Pacific Northwest in the area of athletics. Many of our programs have become models for other districts.
We do not measure our success through wins and losses - we strive instead to offer an enjoyable experience to our young people. These opportunities provide educational experiences to our student athletes in an equal opportunity environment.
