Our Mission
“Facilities & Operations maintains safe, reliable, and efficient school environments across the Boise School District, supporting students, staff, and the district’s educational mission through dedicated service and stewardship of our facilities. Our work is delivered through the collaboration of our Administrative, Leasing, Support Team, Warehouse, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Painting, and Grounds departments.”
Facilities & Operations Details
Located at 6625 S. Elite Dr., in the southeast part of the Treasure Valley, off Gowen Road. We serve more than 50 school and district sites throughout Boise. Our department consists of more than 300 employees working in a variety of trades and operational roles.
Maintaining these buildings and campuses requires a large operations support system, which is the role of Facilities & Operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Upkeep: The department handles routine maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure that all school facilities are functional and safe for students and staff.

Safety and Cleanliness: We prioritize a safe, clean environment for student learning, with regular inspections and cleaning protocols.

Support Services: Facilities & Operations also provides logistical support for school events and activities, ensuring that all necessary resources are available for successful operations.
