  • The Boise School District's Board of Trustees meets on the following dates in the boardroom of the District Services Center, 8169 W. Victory Rd., Boise, ID 83709. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM unless otherwise noted.

  • The Boise School District's Board of Trustees and the Administration will also meet for workshops on the dates below.  Workshops are held in the Boardroom of the District Services Center, 8169 W. Victory Rd., Boise, ID 83709. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting will be called to order at 12:00 p.m. unless stated otherwise.

  • Board meetings are held for the purpose of setting or amending District policies; acting on recommendations by the Superintendent on matters ranging from personnel to maintenance of facilities; adopting an operating budget and tax rate for the District, and authorizing the spending of budgeted funds. All Board meetings are held in compliance with the Idaho Open Meeting Law.

    From input by Board Trustees, an agenda is prepared by the Board leadership and the Superintendency before each meeting. The Consent Agenda portion of the agenda allows for a single vote resolution of matters such as approval of minutes from previous meetings, purchases, routine personnel matters, and other detail work.

    The Board of Trustees shall provide for the taking of written minutes of all its meetings. Neither a full transcript nor a recording of the meeting is required. All minutes shall be available to the public within a reasonable time after the meeting and shall include at least the following:

    • All members of the Board who are present
    • All motions, resolutions, orders, or ordinances proposed and their disposition
    • The results of all votes

    Minutes of Executive Sessions may be limited to material that is consistent with the provisions of the open meeting law.

  • The Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of involving members of the public in its meetings.

    Individuals wishing to be heard by the Board shall sign up with the Clerk of the Boardsign up with the Clerk of the Board prior to the start of the Board meeting. At the discretion of the President, time may be limited to 3 minutes.

    The President or designee may interrupt or terminate an individual’s statement when it is too lengthy, personally directed, abusive, obscene, repetitive or irrelevant, or violated District values. The Board as a whole shall have the final decision in determining the appropriateness of all such rulings.
