Student Application for the Seal of Biliteracy
Please share the link with students after completing the AP exam or before graduation. Once AP exam results are verified, the Seal will be added to the student's transcript.
The Idaho Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by the Boise School District in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. The Seal of Biliteracy encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills they attain, and can serve as evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.

Please read this information carefully!
According to I.C. § 33-524, a Biliteracy Diploma can be awarded to every student who meets the requirements of graduation established by the School, demonstrates proficiency in English, and meets one of the following requirements for demonstrating proficiency in a language other than English:Proficiency in English
English proficiency may be demonstrated during a student’s high school tenure through:

scoring proficient on the ELA portion of the high school ISAT in 10th grade and/or
-
High school transcript showing proficiency in English Language Arts with course content on track to meet graduation requirements.
Proficiency in a language other than English
Proficiency in a language other than English may be demonstrated through the following, realized during a student’s high school tenure:

Passing a foreign language advanced placement exam with a score of 3 or higher
